Titleist 910 D3 Driver New Zealand golf star Lydia Ko sits two shots off the lead after her opening round at the Swinging Skirts LPGA tour event in California today.

The Gulf Harbour local has had a day to remember, celebrating her 17th birthday, and being included among Time magazine's 100 most influential people in their 2014 issue, before carding a four-under 68 to finish in a share of second place.
