In 2013, the TaylorMade company launched their new generation: taylormade rocketbladez irons Stage 2 Driver. It is my belief that the success of the Rocketballz driver surprised TaylorMade.

RBZ Stage 2 driver has a large address footprint, but the new version's clubface is deeper and larger than the original. Yet, TaylorMade says, the clubhead design overall is more aerodynamic, helping increase clubhead speed. Clubhead speed also gets a boost relative to the original RBZ from a longer, lighter (50 grams) Fujikura RocketFuel shaft, plus a light grip. Despite that large-footprint clubhead, the shaft and grip help keep the overal weight of the RBZ Stage 2 driver below 300 grams.

Something else new about the clubhead: those graphics. golf clubs for sale The RBZ Stage 2 uses the white, non-glare finish that TaylorMade has employed in some drivers since 2011, but with new crown graphics. The crown decal adds linear references for the golfer's eye that, TaylorMade says, provide visual cues that help with alignment.

Though not as adjustable as TaylorMade's flagship R1 driver, the RBZ Stage 2 has been updated to offer 12 different lofts, lie angles and face angles within the window of a 1.5-degree loft adjustment. The new clubface is even larger and deeper, encompassing 4,100 square millimeters. This, the company says, makes the Stage 2 even easier to hit for golfers of every skill level.

TaylorMade's "Loft-Sleeve Technology" (they used to call it "Flight Control Technology") is incorporated in the RBZ Stage 2 driver, and it gives golfers the ability to adjust loft angle, lie angle and face angle. Other design characteristics of the clubhead and overall club promote a moderate draw bias.

It also includes a Thick-thin Crown design in which various portions of the crown range from 0.6 to 0.4 millimeter thick, saving three grams of weight as compared to the crowns of the 2012 R11S and RocketBallz Tour drivers. ping k15 driver That, along with balancing the club to a slightly higher swing weight, allows the RBZ Stage 2 driver to promote faster swing speed for most golfers. And the lightweight characteristics of the shaft coupled with the head's mass properties work together to create a moderate draw bias.

All these elements, plus a center of gravity position that is low but more forward, add up to nine more yards for better players compared to the distance performance of the original RBZ driver.
