Join us on Saturday, June 8th at The Legacy Golf Resort for the GolfHub 2-man scramble! The tournament is a two-person scramble, played at gross and net within flights. Prizes will be awarded to top flight winners along with closest-to-the-pin!

This will be a great opportunity for you to mix and mingle with other golfers while enjoying the camaraderie associated with tournament golf.

FORMAT:
Two-person scramble played at gross or net within flights. All TEAM HANDICAPS will be determined by taking 40% of total team course handicap . All FLIGHTS will be determined by total team handicap index. The maximum difference in handicap index is 10 strokes but if members want to enter with a partner whose handicap is more than this difference, the higher handicap will be adjusted downward.

If you don't have a handicap, don't worry! You can play for fun! However, a verifiable USGA handicap is required if you are participating in the prize fund ($40 per team). An optional flighted team skins game will also be available on the day of the event at check-in ($40 per team).

Check "Add Prize Fund" box if you want to participate in the prize fund. We will charge each individual an additional $20 for the prize fund ($40 per team).
If you would like to request to play with a certain player or group, use the "Notes to Director" field below.
To register your 2man team:
Check "Add Prize Fund" box if you want to participate in the prize fund. We will charge each individual an additional $20 for the prize fund ($40 per team).
If your partner is a "Premier Club Member", select from the Player dropdown. If your partner is a guest, click "Add Guests". If you plan on entering the Prize Fund, please be sure to check "Add Prize Fund"

There is an optional $40 team prize fund buy-in (collected online) and $40 flighted team skins game (collected at course) for this event. By contributing to the fund, you will become eligible to win Net/Gross prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place (by flight) and Closest-to-Pin. Valid USGA Handicap required to participate. GolfHub bucks or eCards cannot be used as payment.

Does it cost to get a handicap? I don't have one but don't haven't played in events like this. If it does cost is there a point to having one for the average person not playing in tournaments and things like that?

Yes there is a yearly cost to keep a handicap. Its normally around $40 for a year, but if you sign up for the premiere membership through golfhub.com you will get one year of GHIN services free. Plus a number of other services and a $25 gift card to book a tee time on golfhub. Its $60

Its good to have a handicap established so that you can compete with anyone you play with. Even ifs its not a tournament, its nice to be able to be competitive with any playing partner. Its also helpful to see your improvements throughout the year with the shot/ score tracker.

The first of the Troops First Foudation (Feherty) tournaments shôuld kick off the first week of August. It will be somewhere in the San Diego area. The Arizona regional event will be closer to October for best weather conditions. Ill keep everyone updated on all events.

Ohhh!! Yes we will be doing that for the public as well. The new tournament planning arm of my company goes live in June. You will be able to enlist golfswitch for all aspects of your charity event planning. Individual players will be able to promote their team to the public for outside donations. This format has averaged out to earn about $100 per player in extra charitable donation.

It's very profitable. Our engine made 980k last year in charitable donation for Ernie Els's autism foundation. This was done over 13 events.
