It's not necessary, graphite shafts are way better than what they were years ago. Steel shafts are too heavy for a club that long. What's your reason for wanting to do that?

I played a hybrid that had a steel shaft and it just felt more consistent. Just curious

If you've already tried it and it works for you, go for it.

I am still battling about it though. I might try a different graphite shaft before I jump into a steel shaft

With the graphite shafts we have now, they're so much better than what we used to have. You just need to get the right weight, kick point, and make sure the shaft is aligned properly when installed, cut to the right length and you should be good. A steel shaft at 40-41" would be heavy.

I have a pro force v2 in both my driver and 3 wood and like them both. I little bit high on the ball flight but straight. I've thought about that putting one in my hybrid but I like lower ball flight so I'm undecided

AJ am I able to run in to golfsmith and order the shaft through the store. I ask because I have a AMEX gift card and it wont let me use it online. id like to move rather quick on this because I heard that they are discontinuing the V2 model.

Absolutely, come in and I'll go through the catalog with you to pick the right shaft. The V2's have been reduced, it's a great shaft and you can use the gift card to purchased it.
